This kit is built around a high-quality Bosch R8 coil, delivering enough spark to support as much boost as you dare throw at them, and designed to be an easy install into a 1990-2005 Mazda Miata. The coil fits to the valve cover via seal we designed and produced with a custom mold.
For those who insist on nothing but the classiest of installs, we’ve developed an optional bracket that will really tie the room together. Currently, the bracket only fits 1.8, non-VVT valve covers, with 1.6 coming soon.
Important: these coils draw high current on the signal circuit, and are only confirmed to work with certain ECUs. Confirmed to work with: Any MS3Pro, the latest MSPNP2, FlowForce MS2, SpeedyEFI PNP, and Haltech Elite. Other Megasquirt ECUs, including MS3 Basic, MS3x, early MS2, Microsquirt and others, required an additional circuit. Please make sure you’ve done your research and know what you are doing if you use these with a non-confirmed ECU.
Note: VVT fitment - the spark plug holes are smaller on the VVT valve cover, so you may need to trim the seal to make it fit
High quality kit! It’s been a few months since I installed it but it was pretty much plug and play from what I recall. This was on a ‘94 so I had no tach signal anymore but the support team responded to my question next day and helped get my tach signal going again. The kit looks amazing, works amazing, and is definitely worth the money. With no other changes to the tune minus dwell times, I could immediately feel the car idle better/smoother. I was blowing out spark in boost at high rpm and this was definitely the right way to go.

Waited 2 months for this product, since they outsource for their wiring harness. The quality of the harness is subpar, as they used tesatape which does not hold up well inside of the engine bay. After 2 days the tape already began to unravel. Considering the price of this kit, I would expect a better quality harness. The provided coils are authentic, which is a plus. Everything fits and functions as they should, but my only complaint is the longevity and quality of the harness.
